Over the years, photography has evolved from film based to fully digital. With digital photography, you can capture that special moment with far more accuracy and detail than you used to. Should I take photography or art history next year?i'm going to be a high school junior.
I'd want to learn photography to learn the skill….and i think it would be so much fun b/c of how hands on it is.
but art history is an ap course, i'm interested in art, and we get to go to galleries and art museums a couple times a year.
please list pros and cons in your answer.

Learn the basics of focus, depth-of-field, shutter speed, and aperture. Photography is all about controlling light.
Read everything you can find on composition – this will go a long way in improving your photos.
If you are going to be doing flash photography, buy a camera that will accept an external flash and then buy the best flash you can get. (Remember, photography is all about light).
